yup. it’s one of the few times in life you can be treated like a criminal without having committed a crime. Worse yet, even when people care about the issues when they’re going through it, when they “age out” of the problem, they join in the rest of the ageists. They forget or worse, “nows my chance for payback” and the cycle continues.

I know. I know. Its the same thing that sometimes happens with bullying.

Person gets bullied. Wants revenge.
Gets in position of power. Bullies the weak as payback against their own bullying.

Makes no logical sense. See it too often.

I never figured out if it’s roleplaying or lust for power. Like, do they simply follow the role of the ageist bigots that raised them when they get in the same position? Or do they get a lust for power from their own misery and repression days and when they are in a position of power, they believe the only way to keep the power is to stomp on the heads of those without the power?

I don’t honestly know. I never understood ageism.
