I had to do some research to be sure; I’ve worked very hard on my genealogy through the years; I have ancestry going back to 1620s in the USA so I’ve read a LOT of immigration tales and I am very very much a pro-immigration USA. So I kind of knew they didn’t have a skill based system prior and that families were not required to be sponsored and many lived on public assistance.
