you can do anything and this is true yet it is also a lie

can i fly to the moon on a wish? you can’t and yet you can. how?

while your body may remain here
the part of your body which
also processes everything you see
hear
touch
smell
taste
and
remember
is also
the same
place you imagine
and
dream
of
possibilities

of

what if.

imagination is
real

very
very
very
real

it is more real
than a piece of
history

or

a
calculation
on a computer

how?

the process of imagining is physical

it is physical

very real brain mechanisms are
activated when you imagine
flying
to
the
moon

for just that moment
the moment
you left
the place
you
are
and
zoomed upwards
to the surface
of
the
moon
something happened.

what?

you went there.

if you stay there long enough
taking in
the sights
and sounds
that is probably
your own breathing
in your helmet
assuming you
wore
one

and the
feeling of
the surface
of the moon
under your
boots
if in fact
you wore them

that process is
happening within
a very physical
and
very real
nervous system
which includes
your very
physical
and
very tangible
brain.

your limits are not where you think they are.
