The separation involves a bit of fancy – a notion of a dimension of spacetime that’s superimposed but slightly shifted, allowing for two objects/energies/etc to be in the same spacetime without interfering but connected. It would be trillions of little connections of course. I probably wouldn’t get into the transporter either tbh.

I like my personal space too. Mine is a standard American (Northeast) which is approximately 3 feet or a meter around me.

 Oh, I don’t see this as possible. This is pure sci-fi made to sound plausible but I don’t think it is.

The closest we could get would be connecting nervous systems to an extremely fast network.
