yes of course. But if you only include cis-gendered in your circle of friends, leaving out anybody that’s anything but cis-gendered, well, it’s just making pies and visiting each other in their homes for tea or beer in the mancave isn’t it?

Suburban soccer moms and sports dads…
====
  I can only judge by blue collar suburbia and redneck-land, with always with nearby middle class + upper class communities.So it’s anecdotal on my part. I tried hanging around the bar with the sports thing or club hopping. Meh. Nerds (and I’m one) always made more interesting friends.
=====
 Gone to shooting ranges too – yee haw, woo hoo, but 1/2 blind so putting a rifle in my hand is dumb. Fishing, hunting meh.

 They do. That’s all they do. Anybody not like them goes into a nice little box and discarded. So, what do the discarded ones do? Start making another hierarchy and trying to repeat it. It’s strange.
=====
  I’m not implying they’re “top of the food chain” either. Just common.
=====
 I was never a team player. Tried it, doesn’t work for me.
=====
  I hear ya. irl, I’m selective. Online though? Come on in. My online friends usually battle in my comments and sometimes block each other. I guess I’m a Pokemon battle ref or something.
=====
I’m married to online for life (since 89). Always like the diversity that I rarely found irl. During the 2015/2016 political thing, I made a conscious choice to be friendly/battle with people in groups and waited friend requests, ’til I ended up with a politically balanced friends list.Got some on far sides, some just over the fence from each other.”Why are you friends with HIM? Yuck”
“Why are you friends with HER? Yuck”I want everyone to get along but sometimes, fur flies.
=====
y ou’re right – and you’re a better person than me. I feel like I gotta be everywhere all the time. Some places online I don’t bother going to (4chan is prime example) but I like to leave footprints around the place generally, leave a small mess of myself around.
====
   I didn’t touch politics ’til 3 yrs ago though. I still hate it but there’s no escaping it right now.
===
  I should try to drop out of all of it though. (politics stuff) It’s not good for a person I think.
====
  It’s where the majority end up. Good luck. I’ll reserve a spot in the 2030 peewee league stadium parking lot for ya.
===
 You nailed it. I’m sure it *could* go the other way too, but it’s hard to beat the sheer volume of soccer mom/sports dad het couplings compared to any other group.
