Yes. I was baptized catholic because I was going to die after birth. Then baptised Methodist. Then almost joined Baha’i as a teenager with a teacher; almost became Unitarian Universalist. Briefly flirted with moving to Islam and another time to Judaism, neither for long but I gave them a look, Vipassana Meditation, and Buddhism a common thread (as received in pop culture books mostly), Various Christian denominations like Epistopalian (beautiful music), spent six months working at a Roman Catholic college where I talked to all the priests-to-be and read the Catechism and was REALLy close to joining ’til I looked in a Yellow Pages during lunch break to see if I’d missed any major religions.
flip flip through the Yellow Pages, tripped over these ethnicities and “Orthodox”. Well that was interesting.
So I called one. Priest’s wife answered. (married priests?! I like the idea). “Father is out blessing houses”. (they do real house blessings? Love that idea). and long story short, ended up getting deep into it for 6 years.
After that, some time with Osho, then Mr Science – gonna find the answers of theoretical physics ya know… and then working to synthesize – and then this latest project going on since 2013… whatever it is i’m doing.
