Yeah I wasn’t sure if I was autistic but it’s likely just boring ol’ anxiety + adhd-i. I used to wonder why I’d score around 50% on the “WHAT WAS THE AUTHOR’S INTENT?” part of tests, despite getting 99+% on most of the other things. I’d be wondering, “How can I know what they were thinking?” and so I’d just guess because all choices looked equally valid to me. When I learned about “mindblindness” it just seemed like a weird idea to me. It still does, although it always felt like everybody else got a rulebook around the age of 11 that I missed out on. Ah well 🙂
