there’s a reason why a certain brand of libertarianism is pushed hard by the Koch brothers (FEE, Tucker Carlson, etc) and has been for decades

Many US states have “free to work” laws. But these are actually “free to fire” laws; these laws make union forming impossible, putting all of the power in the hands of the already powerful.
Many laws are given the name of freedom and liberty but are not.

 I looked up the history; “right to work” rhetoric started in the early 1940s.
The thing that’s easy to forget about 1984; it was written about the 1940s and accurately describes every decade including that one and since
