Before you say it, yes, lynchings still occur in the USA.
We’re taught that it’s something from 40+ years ago but a scan through various headlines and you’ll find it’s never stopped being a problem and there are cases each and every year. But states handle lynchings differently from each other and it’s never been a federal crime before.
It’s still not a federal crime. But if Trump signs it, it will be. The Senate is finally unanimous on lynching. Why did it fail 200 times before?
