WW2 was America’s crowning war glory and the military industrial complex that grew out of it has been trying to recapture that sense of glory ever since. But failure after failure intervening in other affairs, only for the purposes of corporate interests justifies a lot of other nations’ attitudes towards our foreign policy. BUT INTERESTINGLY, and I didn’t see what he said yet, I would BET that he supports the Putin narrative that it was really Russia that did all the work and that the US never should have bothered and certainly shouldn’t take the credit. [not that Putin’s view isn’t partially right – it is partially right – but it’s a skewed picture as much as much our own patriotic one, just in a different way]
