Words are interesting things. They inherently carry no meaning of themselves. Even when words come from other words, they really don’t, not really, even though we can trace them back through their patterns and it’s useful to do so.
Words gain meaning through usage. the same word in different contexts can mean quite different things. related via analogy but different.
It’s really quite amazing we understand each other at all. Considering how hard it is to get two people to agree who come from different backgrounds even within the “same language” it shows that MISUNDERSTANDING is the rule and understanding the exception.
I wouldn’t be surprised if certain configurations of words have extra power but even THEN, it has to be someone who understands and is understood by whom or whatever needs to understand it. Otherwise, it’s just words that mean something else.
