While I consider myself agnostic, (not atheist though), I’m ok with that sentiment. The pursuit of Science originated as ways to help understand the wonders of Creation and, in an indirect sense (because God’s essence is ineffable) some of the mind of God.
When I had converted to Eastern Orthodoxy in my 20s, I learned a lot of the theology which clarified much for me. The distinction between God’s Essence and God’s Energies. It was mindblowing stuff at the time and really, still is.
Will I ever believe again? I don’t know. I don’t disbelieve yet I don’t believe. I’m just taking it each day in pursuit of an unknown goal.
