I don’t see anything wrong with coming to an agreement on specific word usage at the moment when it is required for debate.” But then: ” They tend toward seeing everything through the same lens once they latch onto something.” So: it sounds as if one needs to come to agreement when it is required for debate. If the group whose methods you dislike are coming into a debate from a stable perspective and if you are well educated on that perspective, then it should not be a problem, should it?
