When I was little, I’d get VERY caught up in my emotions and it was hard to snap me out of them.

i tend not to cry. I also tend not to get overenthusiastic. But I do get sad and I do get enthusiastic. But I think that’s my temperament; or perhaps it’s self-control training. When I was little, I’d get VERY caught up in my emotions and it was hard to snap me out of them. I had biofeedback training to gain some sense of self-mastery over emotional excess.

That doesn’t mean emotions are wrong or bad to express; just that, for me, I rarely reach those levels. I don’t feel stilted either and I encourage expression in others.
