From an American political POV though, there are style cues that raise red flags as to a person’s dedication to the separation of church and state.
“With great power comes great responsibility” and a dedication to the secular humanist (to use a more modern phrase) principles of the USA is important for a powerful government position holder to fully embrace, even if also holding strong personal ideologies.
So is not unreasonable, given Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s background and associations to infer a bit of doom.
