What pains me about Peterson is that SOME of his ideas aren’t awful-awful. I liked Joseph Campbell Power of Myth – he liked Jung – very compatible but not quite the same. He likes psychiatry – I like cognitive science – similar but not quite. He believes in the power of believing in “something” – well, so do I. And he believes in evolutionary psychology – I can’t stand evolutionary psychology but I love evo devo. So, it’s like “close almost but not quite” and it grates
