What I do is remember the roots of the net and why there’s always SOMEplace to congregate.
Down to the routerbox, it’s egalitarian to the hardware. Fundamental t the nature of the beast we’re on. Not the websites. Forget them. The very transport mechanism is designed upon a cooperative. It keeps me sane.
Why is it almost always possible to work your way around blocks? Always a proxy to use… always a way to disguise if you need to… always some way to skirt around blockades to accomplish what you want online?
It’s built in. Deep down. The whole mess is insecure and it’s supposed to be. Sold to capitalists in ’93 who have been trying ever since to monetize but all they manage is ‘ads’. Woo. Ads. Convince us to use their networks and they can collect data that runs through their servers. and sell what they think we want based on our writings and clicks. Our choice.
But it’s all possible to bypass. Commercialism is poorly glued onto the fabric of the net.
As far as tolerance goes? How about this: Stop fighting idpol and let the idpol folks have it and cooperate where it matters. By fighting idpol you join idpol even if you don’t give you id a name.
