What “aesthetics” _is_? is something I’ve never fully understood, just as the notion of _value_ and `faith` and a few other terms that aren’t coming to mind but that I’ve complained about since a teenager. I still struggle with it. It may be a case that I can’t imagine it _not_ ‘being’ – that is, the notion of these things “absent” might be something I have trouble conceiving so therefore that could be why I have such a difficulty seeing them as a thing “apart from’ that which it is imbuing? I don’t know.
