We’ve gone backwards intellectually though. Never have I heard of the notion of “the Irish were slaves too” until the past few years, as the difference between slavery and indentured servitude were always VERY CLEARLY demarcated in American history lessons. And yet, lately, there are millions of people who now unironically fully 100% believe that the “Irish were slaves too”. So, I would not worry about any takeover by vegan historians just yet.
