We’re doing EVERYTHING we can on our end and for you guys, we just ask you to pray-for-the-victims-and-their-families-and-dont-let-the-terrorists-win-by-keeping-calm-and-carrying-on

Indeed. And THAT’S annoying.

Elected officials should do _something_. I mean prayer as a _supplement_ is fine, like:

“We’re doing EVERYTHING we can on our end and for you guys, we just ask you to pray-for-the-victims-and-their-families-and-dont-let-the-terrorists-win-by-keeping-calm-and-carrying-on”.

But “playing pastor” when you’re an elected official just doesn’t cut it.

But if you pray and… STOP?

Then.. well, you might as well just be on an Internet discussion group talking about prayer not working by itself just as talking (like here), doesn’t do anything more than prayer.
