We can do both. Answers aren’t going to come from up above in the political system.
They’re assholes and will always be that way. They play with money that isn’t theirs. The constitutional setup of the USA are surprisingly strong against any individual gaining too much power, so I don’t _really_ worry who is president.
You want to fix our country, Scott? Do something. Feds ain’t gonna do it. MAYBE states will do a little. But you gotta work local.
Complaining about them is just hot air. Complain if you want but politics doesn’t change, and politics in a stable country like the USA doesn’t change things for us all that much. We’re born, live and die more or less similar to the generation before. The one coming will likely have it similar.
The politicians carry on doing what they do. The oligarchs continue doing what they do. We have a mild chance of progressing financially (hence: ‘land of opportunity’) if we learn how to play the games, but generally, most people tend to stay more or less in the same class they’re born into or at best, enter business class, but that’s about it.
Don’t look to them for help. They won’t. They can’t. They don’t ‘get it’. They just know how to talk a good game. All of ‘em do.
