Well, I was following the notion that there’d never been a Pope that was an Augustinian, and Augustine was influence by Plato because his teacher was into Plato.
But previous Popes and generally the whole Scholastic movement for 1000 years have mostly been Aristotle based because of the influence of Aquinas.
But the hundreds of years PRIOR to that, Catholic church was more Platonic because of the influence of Augustine when Aristotle was basically unknown by them at that time.
