well, i noticed a genz phase at least in the usa of going through Roblox ew-women-ew-gay from about age 10, at 12 “wow hitler is amazing cool beans” through a “can we combine all the dictators into one?” at 7th-8th along with racism (ironic and unironic), then mellowing into dank meme land in high school, along with a parallel for xxx- and furry but they’re less separate than they seem. I think late millennials are far more extremist (early 20s) than current high schoolers, as i think the political extremism of standard age millennials has mellowed into “mostly ironic” political extremism. (genuine but with less hope than millennial – a bit more wistful SOMEBODY needs to do something about this. Either it’s “we need to “return to traditional” (whatever that is) or “we need to lift weights and focus on self” or “we need to fix the future” – and it feels like y’all have inherited the mess of past generations. But that social awareness, whether driven or apathetic irony isn’t a bad thing, although I think you may have had to adult a little faster in some areas, slower in others, I dunno. I’m talking out my butt really. I think the negativity you have is a positive sign that’s all.
