DP responds:

“In a straightforward way, if you have clear vision you might discern a particular animal in your backyard, a little more fuzzy you might only be able to say “a dog”, more fuzzy yet, you could only say, “an animal”, so you are getting more abstract.

DP
Fuzzier yet, you could only discern “motion”, then it gets weird as the external and internal blur, and you report only “observation”, then “experience”, then “existence”, then….?

Yup. Our thinking is using more or less the same hierarchical levels of abstraction.

I almost want to switch observation and experience but I can’t because observation has a thoughtful, reflexive quality whereas experience does not require any reflection..

Yes we have the same series. I have some backup correspondence of this when I was experimenting with hypernyms and wordnet a few years ago. I was very surprised I ended up seeing at the tops of the trees.
