Yes, they’re behaviors of collectives. Perhaps it is a survival mechanism for random as the “degrees of freedom” are reduced when collectives form into patterned behaviors and shapes. Once the patterned behaviors break apart, once the shapes break apart, (once the degrees of freedom return) random returns
I think cause and effect are a little tricky as I think the properties of ‘objects’ (or collective ‘things’) shift and change always — the boundaries never stable with lots of mixing zones where “is this this or is this that?” aren’t clear and causation isn’t really a coherent notion
It’s just karen behavior. Looking for a problem and making a scene. WHY CAN’T I DO THIS THING I NEVER NEEDED TO DO BEFORE? over and over. Is what it is. Bored people I suppose.
Presidency was lost because there was zero prep time for one candidate, the other had four years. If the other candidate did nothing else BUT CAMPAIGN for FOUR YEARS STRAIGHT, make political connections to help win, work with getting VOTING REGULATIONS CHANGED in various states in ways that might ASISST victory… ..I mean ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD, to get all of these ducks lined up… it still was only a 1.7% margin popular vote victory – and it was against a candidate that only had three months… but still, all that years of free prep-work time worked. I mean, he didn’t have a job. She did.
I don’t even CARE FOR their music that much. But otherwise intelligent people like you are spouting pre-made canned opinions given to them by Twitter blue checks without a moment of critical thought.
