Vision is in chords already right at the beginning. THEN it goes down the optic nerve and is processed by the brain in several ways. Further chording can take place in there as well.
Imagine these three flashing very quickly, perhaps if they’re out of sync slightly enough for conscious awareness, or through some quirk in the brain’s processing timings of the three signals, is probably why I can both see the intended color and also see the component colors and whiteness levels when I look at things.
Yeah, blue light can keep you awake longer thanks to that blue light sensor thing we have that activates our “stay awake / wake up” systems. There’s some apps that lower the levels of blue light in your phones/computers to help night owls get some sleep. Also, some schools have experimented with changing the children’s (teenagers mostly) sleep patterns by adjusting the amounts of blue in the lighting throughout the ‘school day’.
