Quantitative is important for so many reasons. One of which is that it allows for such things as statistical analysis. It allows for graphs and for comparisons of the “more vs less”. There is the sacrifice of uniqueness when things are quantified but the tradeoff is what is gained by seeing what is being studied as part of a class of other things being studied that are being seen as similar enough to be grouped and counted and, well, quantified in various ways.
