Very proud of Hampshire College. They were willing to be unrankable to test a theory about being SAT / ACT test blind and instead adding a couple of essays and a high school paper. Excellent. While I wasn’t able to finish, I’m glad they’re willing to step forward with something bold like this. They’re not the first to go test blind and of course this is just as much marketing [when isn’t a college marketing itself in some way] – nevertheless, as a college that’s always ranked highly, I’m proud of them for going rankless and testing the results. Will they continue? Time will tell.
