ultimately I also have sensory processing disorders – there’s so many similar overlapping things but it comes to that. I think the hardest part is that it’s physical — which affects thinking — yet it’s difficult to explain to somebody who doesn’t have it. I don’t think things like exposure therapy help at all with this. i’ve certainly tried but it’s not mental but physical. thinking things through helps – probably in the same family as cognitive behavior therapy but i don’t know. Still, it seems limited too but i can only guess.

it seems like the kind of thing an occupational therapist should do.

I wanted to do that kind of work once upon a time but maybe they don’t do what I think they do
