Dr. Who was new and I sat with her, 6.5 yrs old and watched every week. My first strong memories are from around when I was 8. My favorite is at 11, when the planet was getting the 5 Doctors simulcast, ushering in an 80s Doctor Who craziness. I was “too good” to be a “Whovian” but I envied them anyway and watched faithfully. Lived through the dark times, 15 yrs of bad time travel shows and “almosts” like Stargate or Sliders that just weren’t ‘it’. The reboot though? WOW, and it keeps improving. Can’t wait for Jodie. 46 yrs old now. Started at 6.5. USA. The only Doctor Who lover I knew (besides my Nana, who had moved away from Dr. Who by the time 5 Doctors came out) until I was 17 yrs old and got my first modem in 1989 and was part of a Dr. Who chat room. …
