Two years ago, and that’s after sitting on it for a year not knowing what to do with the data finding I made. I *still* really don’t know what to do with it. Why did cross-linking a Thesaurus with itself end up with 5 different categories? Why not 3? or 7? or 22? I look at the 5 word “buckets” and I have my own internal concepts for each category words fell into: whole competing confusion skipping around/detail nearly forgotten absence Or just Level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 because there’s some deep sense in which the words that are in the same category are connected. But it shows that truly DATA-DRIVEN results aren’t so easy to explain. I’ll probably find the reason was something simpler than all this, but after three years, I’m still spooked by the result tbh.
