Tim Harding it sets the mind up with a value of the components. “this has minimal value. what it produces has minimal value.” if I said the mind consists of active processes of a functioning brain; consciousness emerges from the complexity as it is a system… we would be saying the same thing. But it’s hard to answer how i can be an illusion. its easier to answer how i might be a ghost. its even easier to answer being systemic and part of emergent properties. somebody could be just as uncomfortable with being “merely emergent properties” or be excited to be greater than “just a bunch of parts”.
