*This* is what I’ve needed to see for years. So many concepts that always baffled me with animations in general but seeing multiple methods in OpenToonz have helped me on so many levels. Two or three times I actually gasped when what you were doing just seemed like magic. I was like, “Oh so THAT’S HOW!”… “so THAT’S why…” … “so THAT’S what that means”…. cleared up years of confusion in short order. Animation always looked like a lot of work yet I always have a bit of envy for those with the patience. At least now I can see that: a) it *is* a lot of work.. but also that b) it’s doable and understandable, thanks to you.

also had had the same problem as others (around 20 minutes everything went gray and I had my “oh shit what did I do wrong!” moment. But I remembered this thing auto-saves everything so I went to the browser to open up the level1 and it worked! [I saw the comments later on which probably would’ve made it easier but figuring it out for myself was probably better]. I also couldn’t figure out how to draw on the XSheet when hitting the X. Somehow I can do it now. I can’t tell you what I’m doing differently but I’m just glad it’s working. Going through the tutorial must’ve automated some steps that my hands are doing unaware and now I’m doing it right.
