This is different from INDIVIDUAL governors delegating for their states.
Does a governor govern for ONLY the people who voted for them or do they attempt to accommodate for all citizens within their geographical range?
—
If it is acceptable to you for a governor of a state to only concern themselves solely with the people who voted for them and not for the entire population under their care…
…
…then I see our disconnect here.

“Hey governor, we an out of state entity have interests in line with yours” is no problem either but only if governor takes into account the constituents, which consists of the entire population under their care, not only those whose beliefs are in alignment with their own within the population.

You saw me as a tribal member. I saw you as an individual. That’s the difference.

It is productive. I stated what I heard. You corrected me. That is progress.
Reaching mutual understanding is a negotiation process and this is part of it.

I hope you don’t think I have an deep emotional stake because this to me is an online conversation.. I state things as I think them to be true unless told otherwise, including incredulity and such. but my goal is mutual understanding ultimately which is why I attempt to be transparent.
So, I am incorrect at face value about DeSantis because something about what I wrote has the smell of tribalism.

Infer.
a) You don’t give a survey to a group. Individuals fill out forms which are collected.
b) The university MAY hide the individuals to protect them but nevertheless each INDIVIDUAL is asked individually.
c) Of each individual, how many will feel comfortable/trust the admining of the survey at the university? What about the state level?
Look at the hierarchy. If your boss’ boss says “do you trust you boss?” what does that do to the relationship with you boss?

It only affects the future of Florida. People outside of Florida don’t need concern unless they have a vested interest.
This is why when outside parties construct laws for Florida, without being asked, it is odd.
You not being concerned about the particulars unless I can make it unambiguous is normal. Only those in Florida need concerned about the ambiguities.

I’m an individualist primarily. If I talk to a “right wing” long enough, there’s always some deeper thing going on than some ’cause” from media and it’s nothing what gets talked about.
