They got sued for marketing it to at-risk kids.
It’s the Joe Camel but for Remington.
One example was: “Get your man card back with Remington”. Fine if your a grown adult but a boy that’s feeling less-than-manly, it’s the equivalent of “Hey, smoke cigarettes like Joe Camel does!”
So it’s not a reflection on 2nd Amendment rights. It’s not about gun control.
It’s about loose marketing practices and they settled because it’s very likely they would have lost at a higher cost than $73M and it would have set precedent for other lawsuits.
