There’s more than one oligarchy in the United States of America.
Specifically, the USA is more than just a regular oligarchy; it is a plutocracy.
Trump is part of the Plutocracy.
He was in 2015. He is in 2024. He was not “by the people” as he paid his way there and was supported by more wealthy and powerful people as well.
You can argue it’s a parallel power but it’s really not.
Trump was brought in via the power of Citizens United. Not by “the people”.
