There’s a generalized “How to be civil” behavior that crosses nations and is not difficult.
Think about it:
To even get online and then to find yourself in the same online space and communicate, requires a certain amount of basic knowledge.
In that basic knowledge is basic language skills, use technology, and the back-and-forth of communication.
Included in all of that is knowing what is proper and improper social behavior. I’m not talking about extreme civility, just basic, “How not to be an asshole”.
You don’t have to negotiate all meaning, nor do you have to have an implicit bias towards a particular race / nation / sex / gender / age range / whatever.
