There ya go. You don’t have to fit into the terms they pick for you. You have the identity you prefer already with characteristics, an outlook, a purpose, etc.
We’re always living in somebody else’s future.
HG Wells didn’t so much predict as create.
1970s/80s scifi / cyberpunk did not so much predict as create.
The question is: while this resembles the future we knew was going to be, what isn’t a part of the prediction? That’s where the growth will be.
