There would need FIRST to be evidence to stop it because atm, its not broken.
What is your justification for stopping?
This can also be difficult because non-standard parents ALSO tend to be willing to adopt troubled hard-to-place children. Partly compassion and also possibly the adoption agencies might not offer the “choicest kids” to future gay parents. Like real estate sales it’s up to the realtor and not all realtors are magically unbiased.
For you to do a comparison study of the existing _functioning_ system, you would have to compare equivalent adoption situations.
#1 point though: it’s likely always superior to foster care. Loving home, permanent.
Fix foster care and MAYBE you can get your ability to start culling parental love using some excuse.
Good luck on that though.
Low income adoptive parents of any sort already will be prone to issues.
I’m fine with a study. I don’t understand the specifity of the concern about low income gay dads that would be different from low income mom-dad families or low income single dads or low income single mothers.
There’s nothing here to indicate a need to stop anything, just a strange unexplained curiousity of the researcher.. .and you.
Heterosexual relationships are unstable until marriage and even then, often afterwards.
Gay marriage has only been legal for a very short time. Prior to that, I would expect a valid comparison would be between unmarried partners of any pairing.
If you want valid, you have to allow continual gay marriage and continual gay adoption until the sample size is big enough for a valid study.
So, at least 25 years until we can do your study.
Craig’s gay themed hills are 1980s level arguments and stereotypes. I lived through the 80s and hearing this stuff.
I don’t understand the nostalgia for it. It was a shitty time for gay people except for music.
Maybe this is a subversive way to encourage more gay marriage and more gay adoption and less heterosexual adoption in order to construct this study, forcing governments to encourage gay people to marry and adopt.
If so, genius.
