There was a popular movie once where a character made a long speech about evils of the tipping system and how their refusal to tip will coerce the owner to pay different wages from the mid 1990s that I have heard quoted dozens and dozens of times by people and in none of the times was it logical.
There is no virtue in not tipping when tipping is how things are structured.
Once the system has changed, sure. But until then, it does not give the message intended.
Some of my worst experiences eating out is when I was with people who refused to tip “on principle”.
It just means I had to tip the whole thing. And I did because my participation in this matrix by going out to eat is consent to this matrix and the customs within and the waitress is in this matrix as well and is dependent upon this system functioning properly.
