There are some methods of transferring consciousness in some crystalized form though.

Consider:

Written words. They are crystallized thoughts.
Spoken words. When they are heard by someone else and understood, you’ve succeeded in transferring some of your consciousness. [not just the words, but the internal understanding]
Art. Images you see within.

Music is a fascinating example because it is reproducible.

They’ve done studies (don’t ask for quotes I don’t have them but I’ll look them up if I MUST): that compare brain patterns of classical music listeners, all listening to the same piece at different points in time.

Brain wave patterns were comparible throughout the piece, especially at emotionally moving parts.

Does that mean that the composer successfully transferred a portion of their consciousness across time and space into the future?

In a very strong sense, yes they did.

Food for thought.
