The way I separate the functionality is timing. “At this time: I will enjoy myself” then later on “At this time now, I will enjoy analyzing what I enjoyed before from a different point of view” then later on “Now I will try to synthesize the two”. But I don’t end up with one thing at the end: I end up with three: the enjoyable time, the critiquing time, the compromise time and it gives me 3 pov to further compare/contrast.
