The USA isn’t lacking resources.

What happens is the benefits always go to the upper classes with very little going to the working and lower classes.

There is redistribution in the USA but it is limited to political friends of political friends and their business partners and spouses and children.

Right now, it’s been the same in the USA for decades and getting worse all the time: The richer get richer and the people who work say bad things about those who are unemployed.

I do. Underclass didn’t put themselves there. It is the actions of the upper classes that keeps the underclass from progressing too far. It benefits the upper classes to have an underclass as it allows the middle class to have someone to look down upon with them.

It also creates a culture of fear among the middle class: Don’t complain or else you will be like the underclass. Do you want to be homeless? Do you want to lose health insurance? Of course you don’t..

If the underclass had healthcare and housing, the middle class would no longer fear being underclass. AT that point, the upper class would lose its hold upon the middle class and uinderclass.
