The same John B Anderson, who just died two days ago (coincidence), also founded FairVote, who also supports #16ToVote efforts like this one.
I guess I *did* know my politics young.

I’d start like Takoma Park – or at LEAST Berkeley at minimum. I mean they’re stuck in compulsory schooling and SHOULD have some binding say in things.
Cities that have a minimum voting age of 16
Berkeley, California ā school board elections
Hyattsville, Maryland ā all local elections
Takoma Park, Maryland ā all local elections

Conflict of Interest Statement: I’m 45 now but when I was 18, I started Y-RIGHTS mailing list on the early internet (rights of kids/teens). In that group, the future founders of NYRA met (the two Matts) and I encouraged them to start their own separate group (because they were super political and I wanted more of a “social rights” discussion). They did and started NYRA and ASFAR. There was internal conflicts and I lost track of who did what to whom, but I know at least NYRA is still around and active today.

someone added Y-RIGHTS to Wikipedia – and I *could* fill it out with my name and background (I gave background a few yrs back in the Talk) but I don’t like messing too much with Wikipedia as I get addicted whenever I do.
