The rock was situated upon the shoreline, the waves lapping upon its surface, the saline water molecules simultaneously wearing away and rebuilding its surface into a new boundary, becoming restructured slowly over a period of many years, into something different from what it was the moment it arrived upon the shoreline.

As far as I’m aware, everything is born, exists, then ceases.

It’s hard for me to not see that as assigning categories to groups of words.
This is the thinghood column.
This is the subjecthood column.
This is the personhood column.
Thinghood is assigned a value of 1
Subjecthood is assigned a value of 100
Personhood is assigned a value of 1000
The higher the number, the more capabilities it has but the fewer in quantity.
The lower the number, the fewer capabilities it has but the higher the quantity

A big trouble they have in object oriented programming is the distinction between “is-a” and “has-a”. Inheritance (is-a) vs composition (has-a).
Not a fan of object oriented programming.
I liked the kind where you just ASSIGN.
LET GOD = TRUE
= does the ‘is’ work. It created a spot called “God” and fills it with the value of “True”, which is considered important sometimes.

Mereological Universalism has something in common with Object Oriented Programming then.
Everything inherits from something else or is composed of something else, or composes something else, or provides existence for something else… I think.. I dunno.

The levels of thinghood, subjecthood, and personhood equate to complexity of processes.
Thinghood property, participates with the environment using less complex processes than
Subjecthood property, which participates with the environment using more complex processes such as feedback and feedforward loops, but is still less complex than
Personhood property, which maximally participates with the environment.
I don’t know what property is assigned to environments which engage with other environments.

I’m more here at the moment – not sure if I’ll stay but I’m enjoying the notion of using mechanistic explanations as a base to work from.
