The rabbit holes (that can be seen all at once with that big QAnon map) start with a little thing here and there and wow, it has a way of grabbing people. So, I watch out.

My fascinations go around and around, broad to deep to broad to deep, usually around similar themes. I’ve been trying to stay away from grand narratives as much as possible although I occasionally indulge.

Right now (or tomorrow rather as I have to get up early tomorrow), a new paper with George Ellis ‘ mark on it just came out about a really nice neural network that’s multi modal — not just vision only, or audio only and whatnot – but much more broad.

I haven’t looked deeply but at first glance ,I’m really glad they’re working on tackling “any sense” that comes in and working with it.

Looking at Wikipedia for it, what’s considered related I found something I’m already familiar with and like. So while I may not be able to grasp some of Whitehead’s other work, I suspect I may do ok with Process Theology when I tackle it if it’s in the same family of theological notions as this:

For contrast, I’ll never understand legalistic theology as I wasn’t raised with it so I have absolutely nothing to latch onto that will make sense to me.

I think my “everything’s a process” started young with environmental interests, early programming, interest in complexity theory and gaia stuff. So that’s all stuff I can mentally tie into with anything that’s process or systemic in nature.
