The problem is the word “intelligence” should not exist
Most of the language of science is based upon using a language trick that’s available:
Nomification
The nature of this “intelligence” is not that of an object
It’s an activity.
There are a lot of words like this that are activities that we use around like nouns and they never should have been
“Love” of course is a great example
People go around in circles “what is love?”
This language trick in Greek had gods in such attached to each
What do in The Sciences is Not So Different.
Here’s what nomification does here:
It eliminates the subject “doing”
Traditionally you don’t see the word I in science papers
And it’s all a trick because there is I and we.
And there’s ways around these language tricks that we end up inventing sometimes eventually
We invent new language tricks such as “data”
Apply this way of thinking to the concept of intelligence which isn’t even really a concept because Concepts do not exist either because the “concept” is a nomification of what?
What actions produce Concepts and where do concepts arise?
Are they conceptions of the brain? little births?
No nothing is getting born.
So what do we toss around when we toss around Concepts?
And if you keep working at it you can eventually figure out the actions being performed by subjects.
And you can find actual objects that are being acted upon or with or whatever
And in The Sciences that’s usually what we use “to measure”
So there you have it.
