The pro-union pick in Rep. [Lori Chavez-DeRemer ](https://thehill.com/people/lori-chavez/)of Oregon for Labor is one move I can tentatively applaud, assuming she is able to stay true to how she seems to be.
It may simply be he needs someone that can “speak Union” properly to convey a weakened message to Unions, allowing them to continue in a slightly crippled state while convincing them he’s on their side 100%. It would be a smart political strategy as while members of many Unions have veered conservative, Union leadership has stayed true to who has been buttering the bread which has been the Democrats.
Considering Vivek and Musk are both VERY strongly anti-union and the Project 2025 of which a significant portion of his people are from, APPEARING to be “The Pro-Union President” to win over union members and leadership during his first year while REALLY buttering the bread of his usual anti-union favorites, would be a wicked but wise political strategy. After all, he wants “the people” to love him and straddling the two horses of “pro-and-anti-union” would be a savvy political move, one that I suspect that, wittingly or accidentally may turn out to be the case.
