I love my country. But no, it was not a majority of Americans. Only 76.9 million votes to 74.4 million.
156,302,318 people voted.
Population of the USA 334.9 million
22.9% of the people voted for Trump
22.2% of the people voted for Harris
54.8% of the people DID NOT VOTE.
You cannot claim the majority of Americans. The people who did not vote for anybody are the majority of Americans.
The significance of this can’t be overstated. For any election. It means that most people do not vote for the winner. They do not have a mandate of the American people.
This time around, they have
22.9% voted for Trump and
77.1% of the people did not.

In short, You do not and can not claim “normal”.
The normal American, statistically, does not vote for anybody.
