Ah, good SEO idea to move my collection below a new collection – “Additional Collections – Video“. I like being public and findable (which I am) but not skew the rankings in the hierarchy by the volume of individual pages.
Keeps me in the general search and keyword accessible [and under the general Topic list under movies] without wrecking the numbers in the hierarchy of the more critical collections.
It’s like having a special corner of the library that’s not secret (I’m not looking for that – I like being findable of course) without being in the middle of everything.
The more I make use of the Internet Archive the more impressed I am by how you’ve kept a balance of organization and openness simultaneously and I REALLY appreciate that you’ve kept to the API endpoints when so many other online services (commercial) have been closing them off. [Google, Yahoo (what’s left of it), Bing, Facebook, Twitter… all showed such great potential back about 10 years ago but with the growing commercialization of the web (which I witnessed starting in ’93 and moving in stages ever since), I watched all of these useful endpoints and APIs start shutting down one after another starting around 2012…
*sigh* – anyway, thank you. You have my continuing gratitude and appreciation.
